According to Dune Analytics, SuperRare NFT marketplace has set a new monthly record for total sales volume of $31.4 Million with one week left until October.
SuperRare (ETH) is a single-edition NFT marketplace where collectors can buy a blockchain deed for digital items like memes, videos, or artworks.
The March record for monthly sales was $29.5 million. 929 collectors purchased 3,179 artworks. The average artwork cost ranged from 3.0 to 5.5 Ether (or about $12,600 up to $23,000).
SuperRare is seeing half the active collectors this month than March, despite achieving a higher total sale volume.
There were 372 active collectors this month who purchased 726 items with a value between 9.5 Ether and 12.2 Ether or approximately $40,000 to $51,000.
In other words, SuperRare is seeing a decrease in collectors buying more pieces. However, collectors who do buy more expensive items tend to be more discerning.

Starry Night Capital, an NFT-collection fund worth $100 million, was responsible for almost half of SuperRare’s October trading volume. They purchased ‘Dankrupt” from artist XCOPY for 469 ETH ($1.9 million).
Snoop Dogg also bought an XCOPY piece for a record 1300 ETH (or $3.9 million) in September.
